Based upon the latest CDC guidelines that no more than 10 people should be gathered together in one place, the March 28th Region 1-2 District bowl-athon is now canceled. I will consider rescheduling it later this year if conditions permit. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD.

February Cabinet Meeting

District Governor Sam presided over our February Cabinet meeting this past Sunday. This time, we gathered in the Grace United Methodist Church in Hummelstown in Region 1 Zone C (bear the Hershey and South Hanover Lions). We were honored to host State Council Chair Bill Morgan and award recognize our Peace Poster contest winner. Catch up with these images of the afternoon courtesy of Lion John Petrina.

Passing of PDG Joan Sleesman

The Lions, Lionesses and Leos of District 14-T and Multiple District 14 sadly report the passing Wednesday, January 22, 2020 of Past District Governor Joan Sleesman.

No funeral services will be held for PDG Sleesman, who served as District 14-T Governor during the 2008-2009 Lions year.

We will greatly miss this great Lion with a long history of service to others.

PA Lions Named Volunteer of the Week

2019-2020 PA Counsellors Award


The submission form for the PA Counsellors Award is now available for this year.  If your club has someone that they would like to nominate, please complete the form and forward it to Immediate Past District Governor Keldeen Stambaugh.  This is a great way to recognize someone in your club who exemplifies our motto of “We Serve”.

Due to the need for these to be reviewed by IPDG Keldeen and DG Sam, we need your submissions by January 3, 2020.

2019 Penn State Hershey Eye School

The annual Eye School that is sponsored by District 14-T will be occurring on October 9, 2019 at the Hershey Country Club.  This is a great opportunity to learn more about diseases of the eye and healthcare for the eye.  There is no charge to attend, there are some nice refreshments, as well as some great giveaway items beyond the information shared.

2019-2020 State Council Meeting – November

The Call of the Meeting for the second 2019-2020 PA State Council of Lions Clubs’ Council of Governors meeting has been announced for November 2-3 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Read the full meeting call.

Use the RSVP form for the November 2nd luncheon and banquet held as part of the Council meeting weekend. PIP and current LCI Executive Administrator & Secretary J. Frank Moore, III will be the keynote speaker for the banquet.

District Governor Appreciation

Yesterday, our Immediate Past District Governor (IPDG) Keldeen Stambaugh held an event to express her gratitude to all who assisted her in serving our district in Lions Year 2018-2019.  We thank IPDG Keldeen for her leadership and know that she will continue to serve this year and beyond.
